A remarkable makeover of an old wooden house in Prague. The goal was to use limited space to create a cozy yet functional home for a family of four, while preserving the spirit and the style of the building. A toilet room separated from the bathroom and bright colours were added to the decor. Solid wood bathroom furniture is custom-made. The original Thonet chairs and a heavy wooden table were renovated and returned to the dining room. The biggest challenge was to create a shared bedroom for children of different ages. Closets were used to split the space into two functional zones. The youngest of the family immediately loved the stepped cabinets which she turned into a display of toys and a play zone. The second child wished to have a bed for sleepovers. This is the reason why there is a special drawer with a pullout guest bed for his best friends.
